Duxbury High School is seeking an exceptional Volleyball Coach to lead our highly competitive and successful volleyball program. The ideal candidate will build upon our program’s remarkable legacy of 12 consecutive Patriot League titles and continue to develop outstanding student-athletes. The season starts on August 15 and ends on or about November 15.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive volleyball training programs
- Coach and mentor all players within the program
- Design strategic game plans and in-game tactics
- Manage team rosters, player development, and athletic performance
- Conduct regular practices and prepare for league and non-league competitions
- Promote team unity, discipline, and athletic excellence
- Ensure academic eligibility and support student-athletes’ holistic development
- Maintain open communication with athletic department, school administration, and parents
- Work with athletic director to create a competitive non-league schedule
- Attnd all required coaches meetings, including Patriot League pre and post season meetings
Qualifications:
- Proven coaching experience at the high school level
- Strong volleyball technical skills and tactical knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to develop athletes’ skills and competitive performance
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certifications required
- Background check and MIAA coaching requirements must be met
